Magalies Water Board Capital Infrastructure Programme:Pilanesberg Bulk Water Supply Scheme Phase 2 (PSBWSS 2)

Phase 2 is a R2.9 billion project aiming to augment supply and to ensure sustainable potable water to the Rustenburg, Moses Kotane and Thabazimbi local municipalities.
The main objective of the project is to provide short to medium-term solutions to the water supply shortages that are currently experienced in the project’s area.
There are 5 components to this project as follows:
1. Mafenya to Phokeng / Tlhabane Pipeline and Pump Station (Rustenburg LM)
2. Padda Junction to Thabazimbi
3. La Patrie to Moruleng Pipeline Capacity Improvement
4. La Patrie to Sandfontein Pipeline Capacity Improvement
5. Padda Junction to Swartklip Pipeline
