Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The South African delegation, led by Minister Dean Macpherson, continued high-level discussions in Riyadh on the second day of their visit, focusing on strengthening investment and collaboration in infrastructure development.
As part of the engagements, the delegation met with representatives from NEOM, the visionary urban development project that is redefining the future of sustainable living and economic growth. Talks centered on fostering innovation, knowledge sharing, and strengthening partnerships in infrastructure and entrepreneurship—two key sectors vital to economic progress.
Water security and sustainability were also on the agenda, with Minister Macpherson and his delegation meeting with Saudi Water Authority CEO, Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad. The conversation highlighted investment opportunities and knowledge exchange initiatives between South Africa and Saudi Arabia, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainable water management and security.
These engagements with global industry leaders mark a significant step toward enhancing development opportunities in South Africa.
